Why can crowns and bridges only be printed in 50µm resolution?
C&B indication requires the highest accuracy. In our tests we found out that using 50µm resolution creates the optimal results. While for denture teeth indication where the requirements regarding fitting are a little less strict, also 70 or 100µm resolution are working fine.
Why do he have less shades than with our current materials dima Print C&B temp and dima Print Denture teeth?
dima Print Teeth & Temp is developed and manufactured in Wehrheim, by our colleagues that normally create our composite materials. Thus we apply our highest standards when it comes to shading.
The color perception of 3D printing materials is influenced by the used hardware (3D printer and post curing unit). As we can not 100% guarantee the shade because of these outside influences, we decided to just determine 4 different color blends but those can cover 7 Vita shades. So we have the same color range like before.
Why don´t we offer smaller packaging sizes, like 500g?
For medical devices changes in packaging (even if it is only the size of the bottle), requires a lot of testing effort.
As dima Print Teeth & Temp is a dual indication material, the consumption will be higher, than with a C&B material alone. The 4 color blends as well reduce the needed stock level. Thus also bigger packaging sizes will work well in most labs.
